MapInfo Discovery

MapInfo Discovery can be considered a simplified version of MapXtreme targeted for fast and easy publishing of interactive maps. Discovery is a complete product that can be installed out-of-the-box without any programming effort. Discovery trades off the complex functionality and versatility of MapXtreme for swift implementation and lower cost.

The Publisher Component of Discovery allows direct uploading of maps, including Thematic Maps, created under MapInfo Professional to a Map Catalog resided in the server. User can browse the catalog and retrieve map images and related information using a standard web browser like Internet Explorer. The maps are displayed in an interactive mode that supports zooming, panning, re-centering, layer control, map legend, info tool and attribute search.
